PBM Review - 2014 HB 113
Share |
In the 2014 Legislative Session the Utah Pharmacy Association worked with the Utah Retail Merchants Association on a piece of language titled Pharmacy Benefit Manager Amendments. The bill defines maximum allowable costs; requires certain contract provisions between a pharmacy benefit manager and a pharmacy related to the use of maximum allowable cost and appeal rights; and requires a pharmacy benefit manager to register with the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code within the Department of Commerce. As an association we agreed to a final watered down version of the bill, but let opposing groups know that we would be gathering information regarding this issue through out the year. If you have had an issue on MAC pricing and working with your PBM, please complete the form and let us know. We need to gather the needed data to continue to protect our interests and profession.
