Roger D. Clements

Roger Dwight Clements 1937 ~ 2006 Roger Dwight Clements, 69, passed away September 29, 2006 in Salt Lake City surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 21, 1937 in Park City, Utah to Anna Ivins Snow and Dr. Thomas Earl Clements. He was the youngest of five children. He married MaryAnn Staples August 4, 1958 and they had three children. They were later divorced. He then married Myra Bradley Henrie November 8, 1976, where he welcomed her four children into his family. He graduated from East High School in 1956. Roger graduated from the U of U College of Pharmacy in 1962. While in college he was a member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity and was an active member of the student branch of APhA. He practiced as a pharmacist in the Salt Lake Valley for 37 years, retiring in 1999. He served as president of the SL Regional Pharmaceutical Association and also as president of the Utah Pharmaceutical Association in 1985. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he was active in the scouting program. Roger, who was known as "Bluie" to his hunting and fishing buddies, enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, skiing, and photography. An important part of his life was spending time with his family and friends. The family wishes to express their thanks to the nurses and doctors of St. Marks Hospital. Roger is survived by his wife, Myra; his children, Cristopher (Lynette) Clements, Stephanie Clements, Gretchen (Clifton) Clark, Kenton Henrie, Nathan (Christine) Henrie, Scott (Ann) Henrie, and Bradley (Bonilynn) Henrie; 18 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Haydon) Calvert, Dr. E. Howard (Beth) Clements, Dr. Blaine (Jackie) Clements, and Betty Lou (Jim) Lassetter. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held Thursday, October 5, 2006, 11 a.m. at the Briarwood Ward, 3751 So. 2200 W. Friends and family may visit Wednesday October 4, 2006 at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 So. 2300 E., from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Manti City Cemetery.
