Code of Ethics of the Utah Pharmacists Association

I am an active member of the Utah Pharmacists Association.  As a duly registered Pharmacist, I observe the code of ethics of my profession and pledge myself to:

CONSIDER your health and safety as my primary concern in the safeguarding, handling, sale, and dispensing of medicinal substances.

PROVIDE you with such professional information as will add to the safety, efficacy, and use of prescription and packaged medication, and charge a fair and equitable fee for my professional services.

CONDUCT my profession in conformity with Federal and State laws and regulations, and ethical principles of my profession.

RESPECT the prerogatives of the medical profession and the judgment of my associates in Pharmacy.

IMPROVEMENT of public health through cooperation with allied health professionals and maintenance of continuing educational programs

MAINTAIN an active public and professional relations program in order to continue public appreciation of the Pharmacist's role in society.
